The Title Contest is officially OVER! Thank you all for entering, voting and participating in this fun contest. I'll have to think about doing it again because it was such a blast. So again, thanks to everyone for having a fun two weeks with me. Now, onto the winner...

In last place is, The Lover's Curse

Tied in forth and third are The Curse of the Gods and The Curse of Choice.

In second is The Curse Broken.

And the winner is....

The Curse of my Dreams by AnneMarie Jenner out of CA! Everyone give a big round of applause to AnneMarie. Her title got 60% of the votes! She gets some nice swag and the first copy of The Curse Books #3.

Even though AnneMarie won the contest, it will not be the title to the last book in the series. Instead, the title will be announced on Friday! Keep your eyes peeled!

Friday Update | All Things Books

Hey all! Here's the scoop of my life right now. In this post you'll find updates on my books, my contest and my new adventures. Enjoy!

Update One: The title contest is still going strong. There are just a few days left to get your votes in to decide the possible title for the final book in The Curse Books series. Right now, The Curse of My Dreams is first, followed by The Curse of Choice and then The Curse Broken. If you want to get your voice heard, follow this LINK and vote by Sunday night!

Update Two: I'm getting married in 8 days! Um, how awesome is that? It hasn't fully sunken in yet, but I can't wait to feel the jitters and finally walk down the aisle. I will be taking a honeymoon so I will have no posts the week of August 4th. Unless, of course, I find some wifi and can do a prompt. :)

Update Three: The Curse Books #3 is my top priority once I get back to reality. I really want to get the series finished so I can focus on my next adventures. I've plotted it out, and outlined it, and even started writing it so my hope is to get it edited and published by this fall. Wishful thinking, but I'm going to try.

Update Four: Wingless, the first title in my YA fantasy series, is completely written. It needs to be edited, BUT it's done and it's a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The series is clean, like very clean, mostly for ages 13 and up. But I love the world and as I get closer to publishing  (hopefully this fall) I'll post more and more.

Update Five: A Reliant Love is a huge hit with reviewers. The book has been selling more than I could ever imagine. So I want to give a shout out to those who have purchased a copy. And an even bigger shout out to those who have left a review. I love checking in the morning and seeing the feedback. If you want to read an AWESOME review, check out this page. Jesse Kimmel-Freeman is awesome and she wrote a review for ARL.

Update Six: My new writing adventures. I'm working on a New Adult contemporary romance titled, For The Love of Ash. No release date yet. I'm working on Boundless, the sequel to Wingless. No release date (hoping for Winter). I'm working on a New Adult romance, untitled. It will be a series, with spin offs with secondary characters. Probably released one after the other, in 2015.

Final Update: My website and blog are going to be going through some changes in the next few days. I'm going to give everything a big face-lift, so if the site is down or if you don't recognize it (you should) don't worry. It's only temporary!

And with that, I shall go. I hope all the updates help you know what's in store for the future. I have a lot going on and after my wedding, it's going to be non-stop writing. Bear with me and I promise, the books will rock! As usual, if you have any questions, comments, or thoughts, shoot me an email! I love to hear from you all.

Title Contest | Rules, Dates, and How to Submit

So here's the scoop. I need a title for my next novel. It's the third in my series, so it would definitely help if you've read the first two books. If you're interested but haven't read the books (The Curse Books), I can send you ebook copies via email. Just send me an email to, tayjane1@gmail.com with the subject as, Title Competition.

The rules are simple: Use your imagination and come up with a title that fits with the themes, characters and general storyline of Curse Books #3.

What I'm looking for: This is the last book in my YA fantasy series, The Curse Books. I want something unique, and definitive. It has to fit in with the other titles in my series which are; The Thousand Year Curse and The Curse of Betrayal.

If you've read the novels, which I hope you have, you know all the drama that's happened so far. You know the many characters and how they've changed from book to book, primarily Ryder. I want that incorporated in the title in some way, although it doesn't have to be.

This is the conclusion of the series so it has to be awesome. I want it to be the exclamation and the end. I want it to feel right.

Submission Dates:

July 14: Round One of Submissions.
July 18: End of Round One.
July 19: Top Four chosen.
July 21: Voting Open to Public (I have final say)
July 27: Voting Closed
July 28: Title Chosen/Winner Announced

What's in it for the winners?

You will get the first copy of the Curse Books #3. You will also get a signed copy of The Thousand Year Curse and The Curse of Betrayal. Included will be random swag items, like bookmarks with the books. Also, your title is on my book! And I'll shout you out in the Acknowledgements in the back of the book. Plus, your title is my book!

How to Submit?

Facebook: My Facebook Page.

On my page, you can comment your title or tag my page with the hashtag #cursebooks3. I'll check every night for that hashtag so as long as it's somewhere in your post so I definitely see it.

Twitter: Username- @taylorjlavati

Again, use the hashtag #cursebooks3 and tag me so I see your entry. Remember, you can submit as many titles as you want! I'll check the hashtag and my page daily. If you feel more comfortable DMing me, feel free!

Email: tayjane1@gmail.com

Use the subject, Title Contest Submission, so I don't miss it. Email me with your name in the body along with your entry and you're all set! It's super easy. If you are submitting more than one, make sure there's a blank line in between so I know they're not the same.

Blog: Here, duh!

I'll write a post next Monday (July 14), just telling everyone that the contest is open and reminding people of the finishing date for submissions. You can comment on that post (not this one) and hashtag #cursebooks3 and it will count. You can also share the post via google+ with your submission written and that will count. Plus it'll help spread the word!

Google+: My profile.

Probably the easiest way if you have it, just tag me in your post with the title in the body. You can make it public or private, makes no difference to me. Hashtag #cursebooks3 so I see it when I look it up!
